LISBON – McKinley Elementary participated in the Lisbon Founder’s Day art contest to learn about a historical and cultural building, the Columbiana County Fair “Original” Administration Building, which is now the Concessions Office. Students were inspired by the architect H.H. Richardson, and their personal fair experiences to create art which was shared with the Lisbon community during the Breakfast held on Saturday, Feb. 8. Heidi Swift, McKinley Elementary art teacher, said of the young artists “I am so proud of them! Columbiana County Fairground is a special place for the students. We had great discussions about their fair experiences. Each one different but personally meaningful for students.”
