Evening R-Weigh

recognizes winners

SALEM – The evening R-Weigh group met March 9 at the First Friends Church with Rosemarie Martinez calling the meeting to order. Gina Zepernick led the R-Weigh prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. The group sang the song “Little Brown Jug” led by Raeann Sanor. Ruth Miller prayed for family and friends. Patty Pim gave the treasurer’s report and told a joke.

Peggy Kurtz inspiration was on “Emotions.” “Do you find excuses about your eating habits? If you do, you will just be delaying the real satisfaction of having control of your food choices. I will control my emotions and not allow my emotions to control me. You can jump start your success. The trick? Doing a little spring cleaning that works all year round. Sweep away any setbacks you’ve experienced. Dispose of those doubts and dust off the dream and watch it gleam. There is no limit to what a fresh start can do. ‘If you can dream it, you can do it,’ by Eleanor Roosevelt. I want to, I can, I will.”

Rosemarie’s Tool Box said, “Hang your goal out fit (maybe it’s a bathing suit, a cocktail dress and skinny pants or leggings) on a door where it is visible to remind you want to accomplish.”

There were 23 members who weighed in with 8-pound loss. Calorie Chart winners were Susan Cain, Jennifer Sword and Birdie Reinhart. Goalie calorie chart winners were Janel Anderson and Ruth Ann Hall.
