Free (drive-thru only) spaghetti dinner offered
WINONA– Winona Friends Church, 4687 Whinnery Road, will be offering a free (drive-thru only) spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. or until the meals are gone Friday. There is a limit of one meal per person or five meals per car.
Family Recovery Center remains open
SALEM– Family Recovery Center will remain open at this time and has taken steps to continue providing services while keeping current clients and staff members safe and well. However, group counseling has been temporarily suspended.
FRC is also utilizing telehealth, in an effort, to continue providing holistic counseling services to clients in Jefferson and Columbiana counties; especially clientele who are not feeling well. Telehealth will be made available to those who have access to technology and will be utilized for individuals receiving assessments, individual counseling sessions and case management.
FRC has also implemented cleaning procedures, which include frequent, thorough hand-washing, sanitizing surfaces and having the inside of buildings professionally cleaned and disinfected. Masks and gloves are available to staff, as well.
FRC has asked all employees, if they are feeling ill to stay home; FRC has asked all clients that are feeling ill to utilize telehealth instead of coming in for counseling.
Family Recovery Center’s Prevention Department will be utilizing social media, website links and live video stream to ensure asset development and resiliency programming will be available to all students and families. Prevention staff members will be working with various community organizations, food pantries and school districts to ensure meals are delivered to families and children, as well as care packages with activities for kids and tips for families during this time.
