Free Ohio to rally again in Lisbon
The local Free Ohio Now group intends to hold another rally in the Lisbon square at 1 p.m. Saturday, according to Jamie Kenneally of East Palestine. Last week’s rally drew about 100 people and was held in conjunction with rallies in 33 of Ohio’s 87 other counties. The group is opposed to emergency orders enacted by the governor and state health director to combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus, orders the group views as unconstitutional. More than 90 percent of businesses that were shut down have since been allowed to reopen, with certain restrictions, but the group wants to see the remaining mandates and restrictions lifted as well.
