West Branch plans family commencement
BELOIT– West Branch High School will hold a single family, in-person commencement ceremony from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 31. The ceremony will happen in a safe environment with many parameters put in place. Social distancing best practices and compliance with the mass gatherings limit of 10 people will be strictly enforced.
Families, of up to four guests in addition to the graduate, will be called into the high school fieldhouse one-by-one during their assigned time slot. The student will walk across the stage, receive their diploma and then head back to their car. A keepsake photo of the graduate will also be taken. A videographer will also be in attendance to capture the ceremony.
Any student unable to participate on May 31 is asked to email High School Principal Brian Coffee at firstname.lastname@example.org. Seniors are welcome to take a picture in their cap and gown from home and share it with either principal to be part of the graduation ceremony video. Any student choosing this option must email their photo by 3 p.m. Friday, May 29.
The entire Graduation Ceremony video will be released at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 7.
United BOE to meet via Xoom

County ESC to meet Tuesday
LISBON– The Columbiana County Educational Service Center board will meet at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the office location, 38720 Saltwell Road.
Family First Council to meet with Zoom

Banquet in Salem to offer meatball subs
SALEM– Greenford Lutheran Church will sponsor the drive up Banquet in Salem from 5 to 7 p.m. of until the food runs outs Monday at the Salem Memorial Building. North Lima church plans BBQ dinner
NORTH LIMA– Good Hope Lutheran Church, 12030 Market St., will host a cherrywood smoked BBQ dinner to go from noon to 4 p.m. or until sold out Sunday. The dinner costs $12 and includes cherrywood smoked chicken and double cherrywood smoked kielbasa, homemade coleslaw and garlic parsley potatoes.
Quarts of homemade soup will also be available for $8 per quart. Types of soup inclue Creamy Chicken with Wild Rice, Bean Soup and Cheddar Broccoli.
Customers are asked to remain in their vehicle and the order will be brought to them.
