Buckeye Dairy Boosters hold spring banquet

The Columbiana County Buckeye Dairy Boosters held their annual spring banquet on June 7 at the Old Schoolhouse Cafe in Hanoverton.

Tess Neville, the 2019 Dairy Princess, reported on the events she attended for the year. She attended many neighboring county fairs, Dairy Palooza, different dairy shows in the area, 4th of July parades, 4-H square dances and many other activities to promote the local dairy industry.

She is the daughter of Bo and Megan Neville of Lisbon and a recent graduate of Crestview High School who will be attending Geneva College this fall.

She was awarded the annual Columbiana County Buckeye Dairy Boosters Scholarship.

This year there were three Dairy Princess contestants:

Bailey Campbell of Homeworth, the daughter of Rick and Sheila Campbell. She will be a senior at West Branch High School and is involved with varsity volleyball, 4-H and FFA.

Chloe Townsend of Alliance is the daughter of Mandy and Lee Steiger. She is attending Mount Union College, majoring in nursing. She is a graduate of West Branch High school, were she was involved school musicals and 4-H.

Kalee Tucker of Homeworth, is the daughter of Mark and Sandy Tucker. She has been involved in 4-H and has served as the 2017 Carroll County Dairy Princess.

Chloe Townsend was crowned the 2020 Columbiana Dairy Princess by Tess Neville.
