Autism Society camp going virtual

YOUNGSTOWN– The Autism Society of Mahoning Valley is accepting registration for its 6th Annual Camp F.R.I.E.N.D.: Finding Rewards In Every New Day the week of July 27-31. Sponsored this year by ABA Therapy Solutions, this one-of-a-kind program is for Mahoning Valley children, teens and young adults living with autism. Due to COVID, the traditional day camp has moved to a virtual format, but will still contain a variety of educational and entertaining programming including Hand Drumming, Visual Arts, Dance, Theater, Education, Fitness, Movement and Social Skills. This year’s event is free. Registration is available at the group’s website by Friday. Learn more at AutismMV.org/campfriend. The Camp Kickoff event will be a Moonlight Family Swim Night at Firestone Pool in Columbiana July 25. This is an additional ASMV community event that is free to autism affected families in the Mahoning Valley event those not participating in camp. Advanced registration is required and information is available at ASMV Facebook events and Eventbrite.
