JP Morgan to seek re-election

YOUNGSTOWN– Sebring Judge JP Morgan Monday filed his petition with the Mahoning County Board of Elections to retain the seat on the Mahoning County Court Bench. Morgan was appointed to this court by Gov. Mike DeWine in March of 2019. Prior to his time on the Bench, Morgan practiced law in the Mahoning Valley for over 17 years.

Morgan, a graduate of Mineral Ridge High School, received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science/Criminal Justice from The University of Akron and obtained his Law Degree from Ohio Northern University College of Law in 2001. He lives in Canfield with his wife of 22 years and their six children.

Morgan said, “I am excited to run to retain this seat. I am proud of the work my staff and I have done so far and I look forward to continuing to bring integrity and responsibility to the court for years to come.”
