SRMC wound center to reopen
SALEM — Salem Regional Medical Center’s Wound Healing Center will reopen Monday. Hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The service has been temporarily closed since mid-March due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The center offers hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) therapy and other leading edge treatments for hard to heal wounds, which include diabetic, venous/arterial and pressure ulcers; osteomyelitis; radionecrosis; infections; compromised skin grafts and flaps; insect bites; thermal burns; and wounds that have not healed in 30 days.
