SRMC Wound Center earns Distinction award
SALEM – Salem Regional Medical Center’s (SRMC) Wound Healing Center has earned the highly-acclaimed Center of Distinction award by Healogics, the United States’ largest provider of wound care services.
This marks the seventh time in the past eight years the WHC has been named a Center of Distinction, for demonstrating continued clinical excellence in wound healing and superior patient satisfaction rates.
Over a 12-month period, SRMC’s Wound Healing Center recorded 94 percent patient satisfaction, a minimum healing rate of at least 92 percent and a median healing time of 21 days, spanning over 2,700 total encounters.
SRMC’s Wound Healing Center offers hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) therapy and other leading edge treatments for hard to heal wounds, which include diabetic, venous/arterial and pressure ulcers; osteomyelitis; radionecrosis; infections; compromised skin grafts and flaps; insect bites; thermal burns; and wounds that have not healed in 30 days.
