EP scavenger hunt

The East Palestine Community Foundation announced its first ever EP Community Foundation Scavenger Hunt. The fundraising event will be held in the afternoon on Sunday, Oct. 25 starting at the park. Teams will consist of four members with a registration fee of $60 per team. The scavenger hunt will consist of three parts — team challenges, questions and scavenger hunt items to be found. Each part will have different point values used to determine the winning team. The team starting and ending times will be staggered to prevent any unnecessary group contacts. Barb Kliner, group coordinator said, “We hope to be able to use Facebook Live or some other type of technology to broadcast the announcement of the winning team around 5 that evening. After a team checks in to be scored they will be asked to immediately leave the area allowing the next team to safely check in.” President Marty Grim stated that, “After the foundation board made the decision to cancel this year’s annual trivia night in November, we wanted to offer the East Palestine community a family oriented fun activity this fall. We felt the teams could maintain social distancing and still have a fun afternoon without leaving the village limits.” Anyone interested in entering a team or getting more information should contact Barb Kliner at 330-426-4860 or by email at Bkliner99@gmail.com. The EP Community Foundations was founded in November, 2013. Its mission is to provide funding for improvements which will benefit the community. Our latest project was partnering with the EP Village and Masonic Lodge to fund the new Disc Golf Course at the park which should be available next summer.
