SHERIFF’S OFFICE

— A Hamilton Road, Unity Township, woman reported at 9:47 p.m. Monday her daughter had dropped her children off and left for several days without contacting her. Then her daughter showed up wanting her children back. She was concerned about her daughter’s mental status and felt it was unsafe to send her grandchildren back with her. Deputies gave the grandmother options.

— A state Route 14, Unity Township, man reported at 8:53 a.m. Wednesday his father’s .45-caliber Taurus pistol was stolen from his vehicle sometime on Sunday. He had driven with it in the vehicle all over the Rogers and Negley area and it was left unlocked at numerous locations. The gun is black with a stainless steel slide and no known serial number.

— A Bye Road, Unity Township, man reported at 12:12 p.m. Tuesday someone is dumping garbage on his property.

— A Pleasant View Drive, Center Township, man reported at 10:34 a.m. Wednesday someone stole a 2003 tan Jeep Liberty from his home. His daughter drives the vehicle. It had been there at 6:30 a.m. and when the daughter noticed it was missing she told her father.
