Way Station honors volunteers for October

The students and job coaches of Beaver County Rehabilitation Center (BCRC) are being honored as the Volunteers of the Month for October at The Way Station. Participants in the School to Work Transitional program volunteer twice a week in an effort to learn retail skills for future employment. BCRC, located in Aliquippa, Pa., partners with the business community to provide life enhancement experiences to people with disabilities to help them develop confidence and self-worth. The Way Station’s mission for over 30 years has been to reflect the compassion of Jesus to struggling individuals and families by offering job training, mentorship, and emergency food and household items. Funding for The Way Station outreach is provided by the proceeds from their two Simply DeVine Thrift stores; 769 Springfield Road, Columbiana and 125 W. 5th St. East Liverpool. For information contact The Way Station Executive Director Chaney Nezbeth at 330-482-5072.
