Todd Sparkle markets will be under new ownership
After 25 years of serving Ohio and West Virginia, Todd Sparkle Markets is announcing a change in ownership.
Effective Jan. 3, 2021, the locally owned and operated four-store grocery store chain will be turning over the keys to New Cumberland resident and former General Manger Joe Rosak.
Rosak has worked in the company’s operations since 2002. Throughout the years with continuous progression and success, Rosak has been able to acquire the knowledge and experience to operate the businesses.
Owner Gordon Todd noted his primary concern was making the ownership transition as seamless as possible for the company’s loyal customers and employees. “As I have given much thought over the last few years about retiring, I wanted the store operations to remain successful,” Todd said. “I have complete confidence that Joe will continue to improve these four locations and maybe add more in the future. We have been blessed to have great community support over the past 25 years. Words cannot express how thankful we are to all the dedicated people we’ve been able to work with and to the fantastic customers who have supported us.”
Rosak confirmed Todd’s statement regarding the impact of the transition on the community. “My family has great respect and admiration for Gordon and his family, he said. “We will strive to offer the same shopping experience for our communities as the Todd family has provided. Also, I look forward to continuing the great relationships I have developed with our employees over the past 18 years working for the Todd family and hope to continue the stores’ service to its supportive communities.”
All four locations — in East Palestine, East Liverpool, Chester and New Cumberland — will remain Sparkle Markets with no changes to the store operations. There will be no changes made to staff, advertising, promotions or pricing. The store will also continue its long-standing support to local civic and non-profit organizations.
