2021 dog licenses on sale
LISBON — The Columbiana County Auditor’s Office is reminding residents 2021 dog licenses are on sale through Jan. 31 without a penalty. In compliance with Ohio Revised Code 955.01, all dogs 3 months of age and older harbored in Columbiana County must be licensed.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the office recommends purchasing the licenses licenses online at https://www.doglicenses.us/OH/Columbiana (a convenience fee will be assessed for all electronic transactions); or by mail. The auditor’s office has a drop box in the hallway for convenience since the office is closed to the public. Those who need an application mailed to them should call the auditor’s office. Licenses are also available for purchase at Discount Drug Mart in Lisbon or Hanoverton Hardware in Hanoverton. These satellite providers only sell licenses through Jan. 31.
The registration fee for the one-year license is $10, the three-year license is $30 and the permanent license is $100. Owners should be aware that the longer-term licenses can be bought online or by mail; and are non-refundable in the event of the death of the animal. The cost of each one year license is $10.75 when purchased at a satellite provider.
Those who received a pre-printed application in the mail, should mail the bottom of the application with payment or bring it in person. Without a completed application, identification showing owner’s name and current address will be required in order to buy licenses.
Dog license applications and payments may also be mailed to the Columbiana County Auditor’s Office at 105 S. Market St., Lisbon, OH, 44432, with a postmark no later than Jan. 31, 2021. A penalty of $10 per license will be applied after Jan. 31. If you no longer have your dog, please mark this on your application and return so that we may update your account.
All kennel licenses will be processed by mail only through the auditor’s office. If no application was received, call 330-424-9515 ext.1006 and one will be mailed.
Volunteers sought for Mahoning vaccinations
YOUNGSTOWN — Volunteers with various medical licenses who are actively practicing or are retired with an active license are highly encouraged to support COVID-19 vaccination response efforts by signing up for the Mahoning County Medical Reserve Corps. Non-medical adult volunteers are needed to assist and can sign up also. To join, visit www.ohioresponds.odh.ohio.gov. Interested persons who live in a county that does not have an MRC unit may elect to register in a neighboring county.
Medical providers can enroll to participate in the COVID-19 Vaccination Program. Any facility licensed by the Ohio Board of Pharmacy to administer or provide vaccination services is eligible to enroll as a potential COVID-19 Provider. Spaghetti dinner set in Columbiana
COLUMBIANA – The Knights of Columbus Councils 10183 St Jude Columbiana and 1890 Reagan East Palestine will hold their Annual Spaghetti Dinner to benefit The Sophia Women’s Center in Salem. The Dinner will be held as a drive thru from 12:30 p.m. until 4 p.m. or sold out Sunday, Jan. 17 at St Jude Church, 180 7th St., Columbiana. The menu consists of spaghetti and meatballs, salad, bread and dessert and will cost $8 for adults 12 years and older and $4 for under 12.
Registrations for dance classes accepted
YOUNGSTOWN — The JCC School of Dance is accepting registrations for upcoming classes. Classes begin Jan. 15 and run through April 9, culminating with a Showcase Performance available for viewing virtually or in person.
The JCC School of Dance program teaches children the technique, artistry, and discipline of dance in a cheerful and positive learning environment. Children develop a variety of transferable listening and learning skills in a classroom setting while being physically healthy and having fun.
