Mahoning County starts to schedule COVID shots
YOUNGSTOWN –Mahoning County Public Health and other providers are beginning to schedule for Phase 1B COVID-19 vaccinations. During Phase 1B, the vaccine supply is still expected to be limited. Initially, scheduling will be prioritized to those 80 years of age and older. Information will be provided on other groups under Phase 1B as it is available. Additional vaccination providers will have their own methods of scheduling and will be shared during the virtual press conference, scheduled for Thursday afternoon.
Angeles for Animals sets Diane’s Birthday Bash
CANFIELD– Angels for Animals is hosting Diane’s Birthday Bash Lotto at 7 p.m. Jan. 18 Facebook Live (https://www.facebook.com/angelsforanimalsoh) in celebration of founder Diane Less’ 67th birthday. The organization purchased $1,954 worth of lottery tickets, with only 670 numbers available for purchase at $25 each. Numbers will be assigned to win one of the many presents to give away and there will be a random draw for small gifts until the day of the birthday bash. On the day of bash there will be a drawing of numbers for $54, $150, $250, $500, and $1,000 worth of lottery tickets. Proceeds from the event will hep pay to fix 60 pairs of cats and buy seven dog doors for the Angels wing. Donations are being accepted on the Angels for Animals Facebook page, website or in-person.
