St. Paul School Egg Hunt signs still available

SALEM — St. Paul School Egg Hunt signs can still be purchased for $20 each for posting in yards that families can hunt for through April 5.

Golden eggs can be purchased for $50, with families who find them eligible to enter a drawing for a chance to win a gift card. There’s even an interactive map available online for locating eggs. Banquet in Salem to feature pork chops

SALEM — Bob and Linda Sebo will sponsor the drive-thru Banquet in Salem from 5 p.m. until the food is gone (no later than 7 p.m.) Monday at the Salem Memorial Building. Meals are limited to one per occupant of a vehicle and include pork chops, parsley potatoes, green beans, applesauce, fresh vegetables, fresh fruit and pudding. SRMC vaccine clinic openings filled

No more appointments are being accepted for Salem Regional Medical Center (SRMC)’s Vaccine Clinic on Friday, March 5, from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. The Vaccine Clinic’s schedule is full and at maximum capacity, based on the supply of 200 vaccines to arrive from the Ohio Department of Health. No walk-in vaccinations will be given at SRMC’s Vaccine Clinic.

Other Area Vaccine Locations SRMC is a member of Columbiana County’s Vaccine Taskforce, which is providing several locations where eligible residents can receive their vaccine. For information about other area vaccine sites, contact the following vaccine providers:

‘Bad Times at the El Royale’ shown in Minerva

The Minerva Area Chamber of Commerce’s Roxy Theatre will show “Bad Times at the El Royale,” rated R, at 7 p.m. March 20.

This 2018 neo-noir thriller is set in 1969 and follows seven strangers, each hiding dark secrets, who come together one night in a shady hotel on the California-Nevada border. It stars Chris Hemsworth, Jeff Bridges, Jon Hamm, Dakota Johnson, Cynthia Erivo, Cailee Spaeny and Lewis Pullman.

In order to abide by the state’s guidelines, guests will be asked to sanitize their hands upon entry, every other row will be closed, and each group of patrons must sit 6 feet away from other groups. Leetonia school accept open enrollment applications

The Leetonia EVSD is accepting open enrollment applications (grades K-12) for the 2021-2022 school year. Procedural forms may be picked up at the Leetonia Board of Education office at 450 Walnut St. between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The open enrollment application deadline is June 4 at 3:30 p.m. Contact the Leetonia Board of Education office at 330-427-6594 to clarify any questions regarding the open enrollment procedures.

Benefit dinner to aid Lisa (Higgins) Fetters set

A benefit dinner has been scheduled for Lisa (Higgins) Fetters, who recently gave birth while battling breast cancer. The drive-thru dinner will include creamed chicken over biscuits, mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw and dessert, by donation only from 11 a.m. until sold out Sunday at the Salineville Fire Hall.

Drive-thru soup sale set at Mile Branch Grange

KNOX TOWNSHIP– Mile Branch Grange, 495 Knox School Road, will hold its monthly drive-thru soup sale March 11. Soup must be preordered by noon March 10 with pick up from 4 to 6 p.m. Cost is $7 per quart and this month’s soups will be chicken noodle and chili. Call 330-821-8023 to reserve soup. Leave name, phone number, type of soup and number of quarts and the soup will be waiting. This will be the last soup sale until fall.

Jim Tressel to speak at FCA fundraiser

Former Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel will serve as keynote speaker for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Steel Valley Fully Vested fundraiser Sunday. Due to the pandemic, FCA will have a hybrid event. A livestream hosted by emcee DJ Yokley of YSN (Your Sports Network) will start at 6:45 p.m. featuring Tressel and a few local FCA coaches/athletes. New Life Church in Poland, Common Ground/Connecting Life Church in North Lima, Abundant Life Fellowship in New Waterford and Jericho Center in Cortland are hosting the event with food and fellowship prior to the actual livestream. YSU’s College of Creative Arts sets information sessions

Youngstown State University’s Cliffe College of Creative Arts will host several information sessions for both incoming and already admitted students for Fall semester 2021.

Two sessions geared toward parents or guardians of already admitted students will occur virtually over Zoom at 6:30 p.m. March 9 or 6:30 p.m. March 25. The sessions will focus on information about housing, an overview of financial aid, academic support within the college, Cliffe College highlights and other topics.
