WB board to meet Monday

The West Branch school board has changed its meeting to 6:30 p.m. Monday in the high school auditorium and streamed on Facebook Live. A work session to review agenda items will be held at 5:30 p.m. Masks, temperature screening and social distancing will be required for anyone attending in person. Comments and questions may be emailed to any board member, whose addresses can be found on the district’s website.

Smith Grange to host dinner

The Smith Grange will host a drive-thru cream chicken and biscuit dinner May 15 by RSVP only. Pick up will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Cost is $10 for check or cash only. To reserve as dinner call 330-257-2980 or 330-614-3846; no calls after 9 p.m.

Free cancer screening in Alliance

In honor of Skin Cancer Awareness Month, Aultman Alliance Community Hospital (AACH) will once again host a free, open-to-the-public cancer screening event on Saturday, May 22. Dr. Carl Barrick, a board-certified dermatologist, will provide all screenings to qualified patients free of charge. Barrick focuses on general, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Rent a flag for holidays

American Legion Post 275 in Lisbon is offering village residents a chance to “rent” a flag for their yard during five national holidays this year as part of a fundraiser.

For $30, the Legion will place a 3- by 5- foot flag on a 10-foot flagpole in your lawn for Memorial Day, Flag Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day and Veterans Day.

Dinner will help Meals on Wheels

Columbiana Meals on Wheels will host a drive-thru spaghetti dinner from 3-6 p.m. (or sold out) Saturday, April 24, at Firestone Park’s Pavilion 1. Suggested donation is $10 per meal which includes spaghetti with meatballs, salad, homemade bread and cookie. For advanced ordering, call 482-0366.

Rapid antigen testing available

QUICKmed Urgent Care can now accept insurance for rapid COVID-19 antigen testing. Until recently, this was only available as a cash-pay service. Eagles offering beef tip dinner

The East Palestine Eagles, 320 E. Taggart St., will hold a drive-thru sirloin tips and noodles dinner on Wednesday. The menu also includes coleslaw, roll and dessert for $10 or $9 if over 65 years of age. The sale runs from 4-6 p.m. or sold out. Pre-order by calling 330-853-8483 anytime before the dinner. People will stay in their cars. Someone will be outside waiting to deliver the meal.
