St. George food pantry is open
The weekly food pantry at St. George Church in Lisbon has resumed. Food distribution begins at 8:30 a.m. every Tuesday at the church on West Chestnut in the village. According to Betty Baum of St. George, the food is obtained from the Youngstown Community Food Center. Each week includes different food, Baum, said, but there is always a meat along with fruit, bread, chips and other items. People can bring boxes or sacks, although they will be provided if necessary. Baum suggests people be there close to 8:30 as the distribution usually wraps up by 10 a.m. or so.
