SALEM — During Skin Cancer Awareness Month in May, Salem Regional Medical Center (SRMC) invites area residents to attend free community programs on skin cancer prevention and detection provided by Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon Linda Camp, M.D., FACS.

Community Seminar: Preventing Skin Cancer

Camp will present “Preventing Skin Cancer,” a free community seminar at 6:30 p.m. May 3 and 11 at SRMC in the Tower Conference Room, located on the ground floor. Doors to the event will open at 6 p.m. so that attendees can view educational displays. Camp will discuss how to protect skin from the sun, types of skin cancer, and when to see a doctor about skin changes.

Pre-registration is required by calling SRMC at 330-332-7439. Seating is limited to 25 participants per session due to social distancing requirements, and a face mask is required upon entry to the hospital.
