July events planned at Sebring Library

The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County has announced several programs available at Sebring Library in July.

Dinosaur Party in a Bag: Tails of Tales Long Ago during library hours July 12 through 17 – Pick up a free take and make craft kit while supplies last. Enjoy a bag of goodies while looking at the library’s dinosaur books. Make a dinosaur tail to wear, enjoy a coloring sheet and make a fossil. Most supplies included. For children ages 3-8.

Nature Journaling Take-Home Kits during library hours in July- Learn about nature journaling with this take-home kit. Venture outside to observe, write about, and draw the ecosystem. Reserve a kit while supplies last. This kit will provide some basic materials and information to begin recording observations and field sketching. Weekly prompts and resources will be released throughout July to help get started. Starting July 1, reserve a kit online or by phone at 330-744-8636, while supplies last.

Summer Discovery Nature BINGO! During library hours in July- All through July, pick up Nature BINGO sheets at the Sebring Library. Get BINGO, return the sheet and get a participatory prize. Be one of the first three people to get BINGO and win an additional prize. For all ages.

Paint Your Own Bag at 11 a.m. July 7 – All materials will be provided. To register, call 330-744-8636 and ask for the Sebring Library. Registration is required; space is limited. Total attendance is limited to 10 with groups being socially distanced from each other. Rain date is 11 a.m. July 22. For teens.

Visit the Pop-Up Library to sign up for a library card, browse and check out material at 5 p.m. July 9 at the Beloit Historical Society Car Show and 3 p.m. July 8 and 22 at the Beloit Recycling Center.
