Stage Left Youth Players to hold summer session in July

Stage Left Youth Players will hold its 20th summer of “Kidz on Broadway” during the last three weeks of July. The SLP staff welcomes children who love music, dancing and acting and have just completed grades K-8 and try the camp out through a one hour, no obligation, “Meet & Greet.” Four “Meet & Greet” events will be held Saturday mornings, June 12and June 19 when returning campers and newcomers will jump into theatre games, singing, dancing and design.

Camp participants will develop performance and design skills through a musical theatre repertoire that includes songs from Hairspray, Footloose, Les Miserables, Godspell, Little Shop of Horrors and more. Special guest artist Jonny Yurco, SAG/AFTRA will teach stage combat and Christine Martin will teach musical theatre dance basics.The Stage Left musical theatre camp will culminate in a Broadway Review on Friday and Saturday, July 30 and 31, 2021 at 7 p.m. at United Local High School.
