Breakfast, bikes and cookbooks featured

The Friends of Beaver Creek State Park will be holding their annual Breakfast and Bikers event from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, Aug. 15, in the barn at Pioneer Village. Breakfast includes buttermilk and buckwheat pancakes made with buckwheat ground at the mill in the village, sausage, fresh fruit and a beverage for a suggested donation of $6.

Bikers are encouraged to cruise in either alone or with a group. All are welcome to come no matter what your mode of transportation. There will be raffle tickets at $5 each for a $325 gift certificate from Alcatraz Body Mods and Chinese auction baskets. There will also be a used cookbook sale in the upper level of the barn during the hours of the breakfast.

The event is co-sponsored by Alcatraz Body Mods. All proceeds will be used for preserving and maintaining Pioneer Village as well as sponsoring village and family activities.
