EP Eagles to host Oktoberfest dinner

The East Palestine Eagles, 320 E. Taggert St., will hold an Okterberfest dinner special from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 13. The dinner includes kiebassi, bratwurst, pork roast and gravy, spatlze (German dumpling), rye roll and apple strudel for $10. Eat in or carry out. Open to the public. Witches program at historical society

The Salem Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 12 in the Shaffer Research Library. Following a short business meeting, the program will feature “Witches in European History” presented by Lindsay Starkey, assistant professor at Kent State University Stark Campus.

Guilford Lake Civic Assoc. to meet

The Guilford Lake Civic Association will hold its last meeting of 2021 at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Ruritan Hall on state route 172. Speakers will be Kim Fusco and Bryce Miner from the Columbiana County Board of Elections. All are welcome to attend. For information call Peg Leone at 330-341-3006.

Storytrail to feature Llama Llama

Salem Public Library, Salem Parks and Recreation Department and Salem City Schools will present the annual Storytrail from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Waterworth Memorial Park nature trail with special guest Llama Llama from Anna Dewdney’s picture book series. Walk the trail, read the story and meet Llama Llama for a photo op. No registration is required.

Trinity United to hold rummage sale

Trinity United Methodist Church, 2427 Columbiana Road, New Springfield, will hold a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Half price Saturday until noon and fill a bag for $1 from noon to 2 p.m. There is clothing, household items, Christmas and more. No food or drinks for sale. Masks suggested, social distancing required.

Scleroderma group to meet virtually

The Youngstown Area Scleroderma Support Group will meet virtually at 7:30 pm. Oct. 4. The meeting is open to the public and focuses on issues of people affected in all ways by scleroderma.
