Mahoning County P.E.R.I. to learn about new emergency responders program

The Public Employee Retirees of Mahoning County Chapter 18 (P.E.R.I.) will meet Oct. 12 at the Avion Banquet Center, 2177 Western Reserve Road. Lunch will be served at noon at a cost of $15 per person. Menu will be stuffed pork chops, mashed potatoes, sweet corn, salad, rolls/butter, pumpkin pie and beverages. Guest Speaker will be Gina DeGenova, Chief Assistant Prosecutor from the Mahoning County Prosecutor’s Office, introducing a new and innovative program in collaboration with Sheriff Jerry Greene and the Mahoning County Commissioners. In emergencies, one’s critical information will be made accessible to Emergency Responders through pre-registration. Reservations are required and must be made by Oct. 5 by calling Mary Grace, 330-507-9718, Diane, 330-547-9612, Carol, 330-758-5239 or Janice, 330-270-8611. Cancellations must be in by Oct. 5. Flu shots will be administered by the medical staff from the Mahoning County Board of Health prior to the meeting from 10:45 a.m. to noon. Must have insurance card.
