Breakfast with Bikers
Breakfast with the Bikers will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday at Beaver Creek State Park’s barn. The menu includes buttermilk and buckwheat pancakes, sausage, grits and beverages. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children under 6 years. Everyone is welcome to attend. Bikers may gather at Alcatraz Body Art in Calcutta for a morning cruise before breakfast or just come to the park on their own. There will be a host of prizes given away at the breakfast. Everyone purchasing an adult breakfast will receive a ticket for an envelope revealing a prize out of the tumbler of surprises that includes tee shirts, cookbooks, Fiestaware and more. There will also be a drawing for a $325 gift certificate for Alcatraz Body Mods. Dallas from Alcatraz will be handing out door prizes as well. At the end of the breakfast, the winning raffle ticket will be drawn for a camping package that includes a one-night cabin rental at any Ohio state park and a picnic basket filled with goodies to compliment your stay. Those tickets are $5 each and will be available until the end of the breakfast.
EPHS Alumni Band
The East Palestine High School Alumni Band Event will be held during halftime of the first home football game of the season tonight. Alumni members are asked to register online and arrive for the walkthrough at 5:30 p.m. The event will feature classic hits such as “The Horse,” “All the Small Things,” “Soak up the Sun,” and “Seven Nation Army.” Information can be found on the EPHS website.
EP Alumni raffle tickets
The East Palestine Alumni and Friends Scholarship Association will be selling raffle tickets for a chance to win a full-year family athletic pass (up to six family members). Tickets will be sold at various home sporting events with the drawing to be held at halftime during the home football game Friday, Sept. 2. Tickets are one for $1 or six for $5. The family athletic pass is valued at $300. All funds raised by the organization have helped provide scholarships to graduating seniors since 1988.
Rt. 45 Band performance
The Rt. 45 Band will perform the final concert of the Columbiana summer concert season from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Firestone Park Gazebo. The local country and western band will be performing top country hits and oldies and some classic rock. The concert is sponsored by Wilm’s Brother’s Landscaping and GRO- Grace Church.
Clipper Band Showcase
The 3rd Annual Clipper Band Showcase will be held at 7 p.m. Aug. 27 at CHS Field at Firestone Park in Columbiana. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $5 per person and free for children under 5 years. Participating bands include Columbiana, Beaver Local, Lisbon, East Palestine, East Liverpool and Mount Union College. Concessions and The Honey Bee Waffle Truck will be available as well as 50/50 raffle and T-shirts to commemorate the event.
