SALEM – On Sept. 29, the Salem versus West Branch high school volleyball match marked the annual “Volley 4 The Cure” where both teams raised funds to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

This year’s match raised $800, with all funds going to support the Salem Regional Medical Center (SRMC) Foundation Breast Cancer Fund.

“All of the proceeds will remain local in our community and be used to benefit area cancer patients by supporting SRMC’s world-class cancer care services,” said Amy Reed, SRMC director of development. “We are grateful for the team members, coaches and community members who continue to support this event each year.”

SRMC’s Foundation raises funds to support patient services and programs at Salem Regional Medical Center, with 100% of all proceeds used to benefit area patients. Area organizations interested in sponsoring a fundraiser to benefit the SRMC Foundation can call Reed at 330-337-2883 or e-mail foundation@salemregional.com.
