Crestview Elementary hosted six speakers from the medical field to interact with the second-grade students Jan. 16. Students had the opportunity to try out a variety of breathing tools with a respiratory therapist, do an obstacle course, listen to their heartbeat, see an ultrasound of a hand and arm, and practice appropriate teeth brushing techniques. Speakers included Dr. Chad Cochran, sports medicine; Dr. Morgan Kelley, physical therapist; Renee Louk, dental hygienist; Mandy McCowin, occupational therapist; Dr. Edward Miller, internal medicine; and Melissa Noland, respiratory therapist.
