HANOVERTON – United Local FFA members had a unique opportunity to engage with Ohio FFA President Anna Moeller during her recent chapter visit. Moeller, who leads over 30,000 FFA members statewide, spent the day conducting leadership workshops with United FFA students, sharing insights on leadership, professionalism and effective communication.
Hailing from Butler County, Ohio, Moeller is a graduate of Talawanda High School and was actively involved in the Talawanda/Butler Tech FFA Chapter under the guidance of advisors Kari Roberts and Chyann Kendel. Now, in her role as Ohio FFA president, she is committed to inspiring and equipping the next generation of agricultural leaders. United FFA was her 29th visit of the year, with her goal set to visit over 55 chapters across the state.
During her workshops, Moeller emphasized the key characteristics of strong leaders and discussed the importance of professionalism in today’s workforce. Through engaging activities and discussions, she encouraged students to step up as leaders within their school and community.
United FFA Advisor Tyler Gentry highlighted the significance of visits like these, stating, “The FFA program is a premier youth organization that focuses on students’ personal growth, leadership development, and career success through Agriculture Education. Ohio FFA officers, including Anna, represent the top tier of student leaders in our organization. It’s extremely important to expose this generation of students to peers who are excelling in skill areas that are essential for future success, and Anna far exceeded that today.”
Students also took inspiration from Moeller’s workshops, including United FFA member Ava McCracken, who shared, “I hope to see Anna again. She made learning fun today, and we really enjoyed her workshops.”
Moeller’s visit reinforced the impact of FFA’s mission to develop future leaders in agriculture and beyond. Her message of leadership, professionalism, and perseverance left a lasting impression on the students of United FFA, motivating them to continue striving for excellence in their own FFA journeys.
