Banquet in Salem
Salem Community Foundation will sponsor the Dine In or Drive Thru Banquet in Salem from 5 p.m. until the food is gone Monday, March 17, a the Salem Memorial Building. The menu will include pork chops, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, fresh vegetables and fruit, and apple pie. Dine in will park in the designated area behind the building and proceed to front door. Drive thru will line up in lot behind the building; one meal per individuals in the vehicle. Bunker Hill chicken and biscuits
Bunker Hill U.M.C., 15096 W. Middletown Road, Beloit, will host a Chicken & Biscuit “Drive Thru” Dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. March 20, featuring homemade chicken and gravy with homemade biscuits, mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, coleslaw or applesauce and cake. Cost is $12 adult and $6 children ages 4 to 12. Carry-out only until food runs out.
South Range meeting
The South Range school board meeting scheduled for March 19 has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. March 26 in the K-12 Building.
Columbiana Library book sale
The Friends of Columbiana Library will have a book sale on Friday, April 4 from 1 to 5:30 p.m., $5 admission. The sale continues on Saturday, April 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with free admission. Prices: hardcovers, CDs, and DVDs $1 each; paperbacks are 50 cents each; children’s books are five for $1, or 25 cents each. All books are sorted by category with lots of mystery, romance, and young adult fiction books.
ESCEO Education Job Fair
The ESC of Eastern Ohio will host the Education Job Fair 2025, a networking event for educators and school professionals, from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 15 at at 7320 N. Palmyra Road, Canfield, located behind the Mahoning County Career & Technical Center (MCCTC).
This event serves as a prime opportunity for recent and upcoming graduates, credentialed teachers, substitute teachers, classroom assistants, bus drivers, speech-language pathologists, school psychologists, and other education professionals to connect directly with school district recruiters and administrators. Attendees will gain insights into current job openings and career pathways available throughout the region.
