Life Line screenings

Residents living in and around Columbiana can learn about their risk for cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes, and other chronic, serious conditions with affordable screenings by Life Line Screening. Upper Room Fellowship, 500 Sponseller Road, Columbiana, will host this community event July 11. Screenings can check for: the level of plaque buildup in arteries, related to risk for cardiovascular disease, stroke and overall vascular health; HDL and LDL Cholesterol levels; Diabetes risk; kidney and thyroid function, and more. Screenings are affordable and convenient. Free parking is also available. Special package pricing starts at $159, but consultants will work with individuals to create a package that is right for them based on their age and risk factors. Salem Music Study Club

The Salem Music Study Club will meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday to begin the 2025-2026 season. Members and guests are invited to the parlor of the educational building upstairs next to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church. There will be a short meeting followed by a scholarship program of recipients planned by Brenda Bradley and afterwards refreshments will be shared. The club meets most months usually every fourth Wednesday with the exception of November. The club is a member of the National Federation of Music Clubs and the Ohio Federation of Music Clubs.

Monster Mega Mall

Oddmall’s Minerva Monster Mega Mall is coming to Minerva’s historic North Market Street Saturday, July 12, noon to 8 p.m. The Minerva Monster Mega Mall will feature a wide variety of unique vendors, food trucks, live entertainment, a cryptozoology costume contest, and much more and is free for attendees.
