Hannakoe smiles as she enjoys homemade ice cream and strawberries at last year’s Winona Strawberry Festival. This year’s event is from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday on the grounds of the sponsor, Winona Area Historical Society, at the corner of Winona Road and Cameron Street in Winona. Barbecued chicken, desserts and more are offered. Craft/tech demonstrations (vintage and modern), dulcimer music, flax scutching, taxidermy from Beaver Creek Nature Center and more will be available. A live auction by Kiko Auctions at 2 p.m. features items donated by local businesses and community members. Free parking is available east of the meetinghouse. The fund raiser proceeds benefit the WAHS for use in programs, property maintenance and archival preservation. (Submitted photo)
