COLUMBIANA — The Indigo Family Theater will present the Jones Hope Wooten comedy “The Savannah Sipping Society” at the Best Western Plus Dutch Haus Inn & Suites in Columbiana.

The play will be presented on July 11, 12, 18, and 19 in an intimate “dinner-theater” setting in the Legacy Room. Each performance begins at 7 p.m., and will include beverages and unique charcuterie grazing boards (by Salem-based business Salty Mamas Snacking Boards) at each table. Tickets are $30 each or a table of four can be purchased for $120. Tickets can be purchased at www.indigofamilytheater.org/tickets. Advance sales only; no tickets will be sold at the door. Online sales for each performance will close 48 hours prior to showtime.

In this comedy, four Southern women, all needing to escape the sameness of their day-to-day routines, are drawn together by Fate — and an impromptu happy hour — and decide it’s high time to reclaim the enthusiasm for life they’ve lost through the years. Over the course of six months, filled with laughter, hilarious misadventures, and the occasional liquid refreshment, these middle-aged women successfully bond and find the confidence to jumpstart their new lives. Together, they discover lasting friendships and a renewed determination to live in the moment — and most importantly, realize it’s never too late to make new old friends.

Athena Tausch directs a cast of four experienced local actresses, Julie Benner as Jinx Jenkins, Kristine Caporale as Randa Covington, Cher Halas as Dot Haigler, and Tina Duster as Marlafaye Mosley.
