— Deputies were sent to check on a dog left outside in a cage in sub-zero temperatures at a Winona Road address in Butler Township at 11:36 a.m. Monday. When deputies arrived the dog was inside the house.

— Mike Bachman, Rochester Road, West Township, reported at 8:43 a.m. Monday someone broke out a window and entered an unoccupied workshop at Paradise Lake again for the second time in a couple of weeks. Both bay doors were open when Bachman arrived and he found several items had been placed near the door, but nothing appeared missing. It was apparent someone had gone through the building.

— Deputies responded to Wells Hollow Road at 11:28 a.m. Friday where a man said he saw several hunters trespassing on his grandmother’s property. He also believed the hunters were stealing cinder blocks stacked beside the driveway. The man said he told them to leave or he would call the sheriff’s office.

— Eric Peterson, state Route 14, Unity Township, reported Tuesday, back in November someone stole his Social Security number and gained access to his Direct Express Card account, clearing it out. He filed a report regarding the incident, then again In January, someone again wiped out his account. About $1,645 was taken. He was given the phone number for the Ohio Attorney General Identity Theft Unit.

— Albert J. Huff, U.S. Route 30, reported at 5:18 p.m. Monday there were snowmobiles traveling across private property. While there did not appear at this time to be any property damage at this point, he wanted the matter on record.

— Deputies explained the process for a civil eviction at 10:36 p.m. Monday in regards to a dispute regarding one person not wanting to leave a home on Y and O Road in Madison Township.
