SHERIFF’S OFFICE

— A man at Rogers Sale reported at 3:24 p.m. Tuesday his John Deere tractor is supposed to be at Martin’s Trucking in Bessemer, Pa., but he believed it was at the Rogers Sale in front of him because he has the serial number for his tractor memorized. The man said he went on disability in 2011 and placed his tractor on the Martin’s Trucking property. He has not seen it since 2011. Another man who had brought the tractor to the sale from New Galilee, Pa., told Rogers Sale employees he previously bought the tractor from another party, who bought the tractor from another unknown party. Deputies were unable to locate him at the auction. They told the first man to provide proof of ownership of the tractor and report it stolen. Ken Baer of Rogers Sale said the tractor will be held until further notice.
