–A woman who lives on state Route 45, Salem Township, reported a man who says he knows her teenage son came to home on Monday while her son was at work and made threatening comments about him. She was told her son can file a report if he so chooses and to call if there were any further problems.

–A resident of U.S. Route 62, Butler Township, reported Monday he built a new privacy fence, and the neighbors are tearing down his old fence and burning it.

–A Salem man who works at PHD Manufacturing in Fairfield Township reported Monday a woman drove into the parking lot on his lunch break and accused him of bragging about getting her fired the week before. He called after being told to by his supervisor.

–Elyria police asked the sheriff’s office on Monday to contact Sandra Day at her home on Bayard Road, West Township, in regard to her vehicle. She was not there.

–Police in New Castle, Pa., asked the sheriff’s office on Monday to check on the welfare of a woman who lives a Roseland Commons apartments, Lisbon. The deputy learned the woman moved several days ago.

–Police were called to the Traveler’s Motel, state Route 45, Lisbon, at 9:12 p.m. Monday in regard to a dispute between the owner and a woman who is staying there long term over a man who showed up. The dispute was resolved when the man said he was only visiting for the day and not staying.

–Brian Eastham reported his pickup truck was struck while parked in the Pondi’s restaurant parking lot on Monday. He said his truck was struck when Jacquelin Hays backed into the parking spot next to him. The two exchanged insurance information, but he wanted a report should his insurance company want one.

–A deputy came across a 30-year-old East Sparta man walking on Augusta Road, West Township, at 8 p.m. Sunday, and the man appeared to be under the influence of something. The man said he was waiting for a ride from a friend who lives on Buffalo Road. The deputy called the friend but there was no answer, so the deputy gave the man a ride to the Buffalo Road address, where the friend agreed to let him spend the night.
