— A landlord of a Depot Street, Rogers, property reported at 7:35 a.m. Monday there was a man sleeping on a mattress in the garage. He had just evicted the former tenants and believed this may be one of the former tenant’s sons. Deputies awoke the boy sleeping on the mattress, who said he stayed in the garage Sunday night to watch over the last few personal items they had left there. He said his mother was returning that morning so they could take the rest of their things. The landlord agreed to this as long as they were gone by 3 p.m.
–A vehicle was reported sitting in the roadway on Lodge Road, Salem Township, at 7:22 p.m. Monday. The driver was located doing work on a farm, but came and removed it.
— A state Route 45, Madison Township, man reported at 4:53 p.m. Monday his purple Walther P22 pistol was missing. He was going to look for the serial number.
— A Mattix Road, Center Township, woman reported at 11:13 a.m. Saturday she was cleaning out her daughter’s room and found a cricket cell phone she did not believe belonged to her. She wanted to turn it over to deputies, but they informed her to return it to her daughter, who is an adult. The woman also gave deputies a straw, a glass jar and a flat board with an unknown powder substance on it. Deputies disposed of these items.
— A Spillway Road, Hanover Township, woman reported at 7:18 p.m. Sunday another woman was calling, texting and driving by ihe home. Deputies spoke to the other woman about the resident wanting no contact with her.
— East Palestine police requested deputies go to a Sprucevale Road, Middleton Township, home at 8:33 p.m. Sunday to tell two people to return their children to East Palestine to the grandmother who has custody of them. While deputies were on the way, the East Palestine dispatcher called back to say the children are back with their grandmother.
— Deputies were asked to check on someone living on Pine Hollow Road, Middleton Township at 8:40 p.m. Sunday. However, when deputies arrived they could find no one at the home, which appeared to be vacant.
— A Westville Lake Road, Knox Township, man reported at 8:44 p.m. Sunday someone has been driving through his cornfield and damaging the crops.
— A Lisa Lane, Center Township, woman reported at 10:30 p.m. Sunday her neighbor was in the yard burning his girlfriend’s belongings. They had been yelling at each other all day. Deputies were unable to locate anyone at the property or any evidence someone had been burning. At 11:23 p.m. Sunday the woman again reported the neighbor was outside. Deputies found the girlfriend, who said her boyfriend threatened to hit her. A warrant was issued for Andrew J. Shafer for domestic violence.
