EL business breaking and entering suspect pleads guilty
LISBON — One of three men accused of breaking into Mainland Fuel in East Liverpool on July 30, 2018, pleaded guilty in Common Pleas Court. Deshaun L. Scott, 35, Cleveland, pleaded guilty to breaking and entering. He faces up to a year in prison and a $2,500 fine. Sentencing is set for Dec. 9. According to court documents, Scott and two accomplices broke into the Pennsylvania Avenue business, taking cash and merchandise valued at more than $10,000.
Jessie G. Barcus, 22, LaCroft Avenue, East Liverpool, stipulated to violating the terms of his intervention in lieu of conviction plan. He has now been placed on community control and ordered to serve six months at the Eastern Ohio Correction Center. Barcus had been placed on the intervention plan after pleading guilty to possession of drugs on May 13 for having cocaine a year earlier.
