Garfield man pleads guilty to weapons, drug counts
LISBON — Darrell E. Blake Jr., also known as D, 33, Garfield, pleaded guilty in Common Pleas Court to having weapons while under a disability and two counts of possession of drugs. Sentencing is set for Dec. 6, when he faces up to five years in prison and a $15,000 fine. On Sept. 1, 2016, Blake had a Taurus 9-mm handgun, as well as a digital scale containing trace amounts of cocaine and heroin.
Robert H. Spaulding III, 24, state Route 45, Lisbon, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault for kicking, punching and pistol whipping Gregory Gardner on Aug. 24, 2018. Sentencing is set for Nov. 22. Spaulding is facing up to 18 months in prison and a $5,000 fine.
Nicole E. Mills, 34, Pittsburgh, Pa., pleaded guilty to possession of heroin. Sentencing is set for Nov. 22. She faces up to three years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Two other charges of possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Dwain Hines, 37, Akron, pleaded guilty to possession of drugs for having furanyl fentanyl on Aug. 4, 2016 and requested immediate sentencing. Hines was sentenced to 64 days in jail and credited with time already served. A charge of possession of heroin for allegedly having more than five grams of the substance on the same date as the fentanyl was dismissed.
Crystal Rae Hoskinson, 28, Summit Street, Salem, pleaded guilty aggravated possession of drugs and two counts of possession of drugs. The charges were for psilocyn and methamphetamines on June 23, 2018, as well as meth on Sept. 15, 2018. She requested immediate sentencing and was placed on three years community control, which is to include up to six months at the Eastern Ohio Correction Center.
Benjamin R. Phillips Jr., 44, West Fourth Street, Salem, pleaded no contest to aggravated trespass, a first-degree misdemeanor. Phillips was placed on three years community control, which was to include a 180 days in the county jail. Phillips was credited with 90 days in jail served and the remaining 90 days were suspended.
