— Firefighters spent nearly an hour and a half in the city industrial park starting at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday on Salem Parkway after a tractor trailer hit power lines and the lines got caught between the cab of the truck and the trailer. The lines were phone and cable, but several businesses were without power. Ohio Edison and ATT were both contacted to respond.
— Firefighters were called at 12:01 p.m. Wednesday to the area of Maple Street and South Union Avenue for a larger oil spill after initially responding to Oak between Ohio Avenue and Woodland for multiple small spills, applying oil dry. The service department responded to spread sand on South Union to cover the spill. There were traces of spilled oil on several other streets.
