— Nancy J. Tilton, 72, of Mingo Junction, was cited for failure to control when she drove off the side of Fife Coal Road and struck a ditch and mailbox in Yellow Creek Township at 11:25 a.m. Wednesday.
— Nathaniel D. Clunen, 26, of Salem, was cited for assured clear distance when he struck Mitzi L. Chuey, 50, of Lisbon, who struck Amy E. Blackmer, 34, of Salem, who struck Melinda S. Winters, 34, of Wellsville, as they all traveled in the same direction on state Route 45 in Salem Township at 1:31 p.m. Wednesday. Winters, Blackmer and Chuey were all stopped when Clunen hit Chuey, which caused the chain accident. Winters was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
— Jamie A. Severs, 40, of Negley, was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant and charged with driving left of center, leaving the scene of a crash, operating a motor vehicle without a license, expired tags, distracted driving, open container in a motor vehicle and operating a vehicle while intoxicated when he traveled left of center and struck Dallas L. Smith, 20, of Powell, on state Route 170 in Middleton Township at 8:56 p.m. May 23. After striking Smith, Severs continued one mile before traveling on the roadway and striking an embankment. Severs was found to be operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, and there were suspected illegal narcotics located in his vehicle. He also said he was distracted by his phone before striking the embankment.
