LISBON

— Police were asked to perform a welfare check at a Harrison Street residence at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday because a woman wanted to drop off some food for her sister, who was not answering the door. Police were later able to contact the occupants.

— Police were asked to perform a welfare check at a Jerome Street residence at 9 p.m. Saturday. The woman who lives there answered the door and said everything was fine.

— Police were called to Apple Grove apartments at 11:55 a.m. Friday because a resident had become combative while an ambulance crew was attempting to transport her to a a local hospital. The woman was throwing things, and one of the items struck an EMT. The ambulance company will decide later whether to press charges.

— A woman who lives on North Market Street reported Friday being harassed by someone on Facebook — a Pennsylvania man who called her a “psycho (expletive)” and threatened to spread lies about her. Police told her just to block the man on Facebook and cease contact with him.

— Police were called to the Rite Aid parking lot on Thursday, where yet another person was about to fall prey to a scam where caller wanted their Social Security card number and money placed on a gift card or they would go to jail. The woman was told this was a scam and promptly hung up.

COLUMBIANA

— Joshua Cooper, 19, of New Waterford, was arrested on a warrant out of Boardman Township.

EAST PALESTINE

— An employee of a landscape company working at Claybrook Condominiums reported that a Stihl leaf blower was stolen from his trailer at 11:35 a.m. Oct. 4.

— A woman reported that the car she has been using was missing from her driveway at 3:45 p.m. Oct. 4. The owner of the vehicle also made a report.

— An officer was dispatched to a West Main Street address when a woman reported she was there as agreed to pick up property from the residence she had been staying, but the residents refused to allow her access at 9:04 a.m. Oct.5. She also reported that the man she had a protection order against was there in violation of the order. The officer learned that the man was leaving, and the woman had arrived fifteen minutes earlier than scheduled. The officer advised everyone to get along enough to get her property in the truck.

— Tracy L. Wright, 36, turned herself in on an active warrant for her arrest out of Columbiana County at 9:42 p.m. Oct. 5.

— A woman reported that her daughter’s bike was stolen at 6:37 p.m. Oct. 6.

— Police responded to an alarm drop at the Marathon Gas Station at 8:54 a.m. Oct. 7. The manager advised it was a false alarm.

— A woman reported that her daughter’s bike was stolen off of her porch at 12:53 p.m. Oct.7.

— A boy was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign when he pulled from a stop sign and was struck by a vehicle driven by Shannon V. Badger, 31, of New Waterford, at 5:28 p.m. Oct. 7.

— Police responded to the 800 block of Bacon Avenue for a report of a deer being struck by a vehicle at 10:23 p.m. Oct. 7. The operator of the vehicle said the deer ran into the roadway and he struck the deer. The deer was euthanized.

— A Columbiana Police Department officer brought a man to the East Palestine Police Department for a breath test following a traffic stop at 1:09 a.m. Oct. 8.

— A woman from Austintown reported her vehicle was missing from a Martin Street location at 9:49 a.m. Oct. 8.

— The post office postmaster reported a man had threatened to harm one of his employees at 5:45 p.m. Oct. 8. Officers spoke to the man and advised him that further threats could result in charges being filed.

— A woman reported a telecommunications harassment from her ex husband and his girlfriend at 7:17 p.m. Oct. 8. Police warned everyone involved to cease and desist contact with one another or criminal charges would be filed.

— A man reported that a boy came into his girlfriend’s residence without permission and woke him up at 10:51 p.m. Oct. 8. The man said he got the boy out of the house, and he took off in a sports car. Officers were unable to find the boy.

— A man reported his vehicle was stolen from a friend’s garage at 4:39 p.m. Wednesday. After investigation, Michael J. Mick, 42, was arrested on a conspiracy charge. Nikki J. Koffel, 30, and Randy A. Martin, 33, were charged with theft of a motor vehicle.

— Officers were advised of a theft that had taken place outside a South Market Street business at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday. The following morning, an officer reviewed the surveillance video from a nearby location and was able to identify a subject. The stolen electric bicycle was recovered and returned to the owner. Charges are pending.

— Two men reported that they were involved in a motor vehicle accident in the parking lot of East Palestine High School at 4:46 p.m. Thursday. Both individuals were spoken to and a report was taken.

— A concerned citizen reported that they heard over a scanner that NFS Railroad was preparing to contact EPPD after two kids crossed the tracks nearly getting hit by a passing train at 10:33 p.m. Friday. The citizen also reported also seeing the kids cross the tracks nearly getting hit by the passing train. The matter is under investigation.

— A man reported someone had damaged his rental property on East Grant Street at 10:26 a.m. Saturday. The damages are in the form of a stolen porch light, inappropriate writing in paint on the windows of the home and other cosmetic issues. The matter is under investigation.

— Erika L. Jarrett, 50, of Aliquippa, PA, was cited for a seat belt violation, a turn signal violation and driving under suspension when she was stopped for a turn signal violation in the McDonald’s parking lot at 11:33 p.m. Saturday. The passenger and owner of the vehicle, Steve E. Claypoole, 51, of Aliquippa, PA, was found in possession of marijuana and an open container of alcohol. A probable cause search revealed a loaded handgun in the trunk of the vehicle. Claypoole was arrested for improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and was cited for possession of marijuana and open container.

— Lucas A Styen, 33, was cited for speeding and warned of his erratic driving at 3:03 p.m. Sunday.
