Salem man served secret indictment on drug charges

LISBON — Michael Kelly Newell, 35, South Union Avenue, Salem, was served a secret indictment for charges of possession of heroin, possession of a fentanyl-related compound and two counts of aggravated possession of drugs. On March 18, Newell allegedly had heroin, methamphetamine, carfentanil and a fentanyl-related compound. The indictment was issued by the grand jury in July.
