Community control ordered on firearms charge
LISBON — In Common Pleas Court, David W. Phillis, 62, Industry, Pa., was placed on community control for three years for improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle. On April 6, 2018, Phillis had a loaded Sig Sauer semi-automatic pistol in the center console of his motor vehicle. Phillis had resigned from the Findlay Police Department, which he claimed he had retired from and claimed he was now a constable in Pennsylvania. Troopers were unable to verify he was a current state constable either.
