Goshen Police DistricT

— Matthew Christopher Eicher, 25, Boardman, was cited for willful/wanton operation and failure to transfer registration after an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 11000 block of U.S. Route 62 at 9:45 p.m. Jan. 13 for traveling 104 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone.

— Jon Harold Wells, 43, Warren, was arrested on multiple warrants while at a home in the 5200 block of Salem Unity Road at 12:15 p.m. Jan. 16.

— James P. Taus, 73, Newgarden Avenue, Salem, was cited for assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle crash in the 8000 block of West South Range Road at 5:20 p.m. Friday in which he was westbound and failed to stop for traffic, striking the rear of a vehicle that had slowed for a left hand turn into a private drive. No injuries were reported.

— James R. Fitch, 52, Alliance Salem Road, Salem, was arrested on multiple warrants out of Hancock County, W.Va., after officers responded to his home at 11:26 p.m. Friday where his wife claimed he was threatening and harassing her with texts and calls.

— Brendan Michael Detwiler, 19, Depot Road, Salem, was cited for driving under suspension and failure to transfer registration following a traffic stop on Main Street at Penn Avenue in Beloit at 3:57 p.m. Saturday.

— A 17-year-old Struthers male was cited for driving under suspension and speeding following a traffic stop on state Route 14 near West Pine Lake Road at 4:44 p.m. Sunday.

New Waterford

— Nathaniel Beatty, 20, of New Waterford, was issued a citation for driving under suspension following a traffic stop on North State Street at 11:23 a.m. Sunday.

— Officers responded to the 3000 block of Sycamore Drive for an animal complaint involving a raccoon at 1:42 p.m. Wednesday. Since the animal was not sick or injured, it was captured and relocated.

LISBON

— Police were called to the Save A Lot at 12:07 p.m. Jan. 14 about a woman selling gift cards outside the store. Police told the woman she was not allowed to sell gift cards there, and she agreed to move on.

— Police were called to the Kendall House at 11:22 p.m. Jan. 13 about a a man who showed up but was not allowed there. The man left before police arrived.
