– Deputies and Wellsville police went at 5:17 p.m. Wednesday to a Lincoln Avenue home to look for Joshua Kersey, who had warrants for charges of aggravated burglary, robbery, assault, criminal damaging, domestic violence, criminal trespassing and obstructing official business. As authorities approached, Kersey saw them and began fleeing toward the back alley, where Wellsville Patrolman Joe Saraniti and his K-9 partner Chief were located. Kersey failed to comply with orders to stop fleeing and Chief apprehended him. Kersey was taken to Salem Regional Medical Center for injuries and he will have new charges of obstructing official business, drug paraphernalia and possession of drug abuse instruments.
