SHERIFF’S OFFICE

— Deputies went to the Frola Motel, state Route 45, Lisbon, regarding alleged suspicious activity where two people had been acting oddly near a Penske rental truck at 8:46 a.m. Tuesday. One of the two people deputies found was Melanie Wood, who had a warrant for failure to appear and was taken into custody. The man was informed because he does not have a valid license, he cannot drive the truck on the road and needs to have someone else come and get the truck.

— At 1:49 p.m. Tuesday, deputies were called to the Traveler’s Motel on state Route 45, Lisbon, regarding the Penske rental truck that had been at the Frola Motel earlier in the day. Someone had moved it to the Traveler’s lot and the license plate was removed. Deputies alerted Penske Rentals about the situation and they were sending someone to remove the vehicle from the lot.

— A Signal Road, Fairfield Township, woman reported at 10:57 a.m. Tuesday her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend has been sending him messages telling him she is going to assault and kill his girlfriend. None of the threats were made directly to the girlfriend.
