Beloit man sentenced in stolen truck case
LISBON — In Common Pleas Court, Kevin E. Wasmire, 47, Rainbow Lane Circle, Beloit, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for receiving stolen property and failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer. He was ordered to pay $800 in restitution and his license was suspended for six months. The prosecutor’s office plans to file for the dismissal of counts three and four, charges of driving under suspension and obstructing official business.
On April 22, 2019, Wasmire had a 2001 Dodge Ram truck belonging to Kenneth Hall, which had been obtained through a theft. He then fled from police ordering him to stop the vehicle by taking off on foot into the woods to avoid apprehension, before he was found about a mile from the location of the vehicle.
