EL man gets prison for jail vandalism
LISBON — William L. Gist, 52, Seventh Street, East Liverpool, was sentenced in Common Pleas Court to six months in prison for vandalism for breaking a window between post 40 and the outdoor recreation area at the county jail on May 16, 2019.
He was also ordered to pay $1,162 in restitution.
Julie D. Mayfield, 40, LaCroft Avenue, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty to illegal use of supplemental nutrition assistance program benefits or WIC program benefits and Medicaid fraud for money allegedly stolen between Oct. 1, 2013 and March 31, 2019.
She faces up to four years in prison and a $12,500 fine. Sentencing is set for Sept. 28.
Kenneth A. Bragg, 27, Vine Street, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty to domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor, a lesser offense to the third-degree felony domestic violence he had been initially charged with committing for harming Ashley Dearth on July 16, 2019.
He faces up to 180 days in jail and a $1,000 fine. Sentencing is set for Sept. 10.
