LISBON — In County Municipal Court, Joah T. Leffler, 36, Sherwood Road, Wellsville, was bound over to the grand jury on charges of aggravated kidnapping, a second-degree felony, and domestic violence. Between June 18 and June 19, Leffler allegedly beat Tiffany Allen, who was 34 weeks pregnant with his child, several times with his hands, a belt, a plastic hose and a cell phone. Additionally, when she attempted to flee from the house, he allegedly chased her, knocked her down, placed his fingers in her mouth to keep her from screaming and dragged her back into their house.

Timothy N. Thompson, 32, Fair Avenue, Salem, waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the grand jury on charges of theft and possession of criminal tools for allegedly having two matching license plates to a vehicle belonging to Salem Regional Medical Center, plates which he threw into the bushes wrapped in a shirt on June 27. He also was allegedly found to be carrying two screwdrivers, which he used to take the plates.

A July 13 preliminary hearing and pretrial was set for Debra A. Waltz, 51, East Oxford Street, Alliance, charged with theft and cited with OVI first offense, driving under suspension, failure to control, criminal damaging and a seat belt violation. Waltz allegedly stole a Jeep belonging to Nicole Middleton, her aunt, on Saturday and struck a street sign with it.

Clinton M. Hodge, 30, Allen Avenue, Columbiana, was fined $150 for traffic control devices and speeding. He was bound over to the grand jury on charges of failure to comply with the order of police, OVI first offense, driving under suspension and use of an unauthorized plate.

A Sept. 1 pretrial was set for Mikey W. Skeels, 45, Hoffee Road, Lisbon, cited with OVI second offense and left of center.

Steve D. Adams, 59, Sebring, was fined $1,055, had his license suspended for two years, sentenced to six days in jail and required 40 hours community service for OVI second offense and a tail light violation.

An Aug. 31 pretrial was set for Scott Allen Baumgartner, 49, South Linden Avenue, Alliance, cited with OVI second offense and speeding.

A Sept. 3 pretrial was set for Justina Marie Desarro, 30, Akron, cited with OVI first offense, driving under suspension and marked lanes.

Aaron D. Sugar, 23, East Garfield Road, Petersburg, was credited with a day in jail, sentenced to an additional two days in jail, fined $725, had his license suspended for a year and required 40 hours community service for OVI first offense and traffic control device violation.

A July 13 decision from the bench is scheduled for Carissa Lane, 25, Parkersburg, W.Va., charged with fugitive from justice after being wanted by the state of West Virginia on a charge of interference with officers, false information.

An Aug. 24 pretrial was set for Brian A. Groves, 44, First Street, Hanoverton, cited with OVI second offense and head lights required.

Stephen T. Westover, 30, Woodland Avenue, Salem, was fined $825, had his license suspended for a year, ordered to attend a three-day counseling program and required 30 hours community service for OVI first offense, driving under suspension and failure to control.

George R. House Jr., 35, Ridgeview Drive, Hanoverton, was credited with 19 days served in jail, sentenced to another 41 days in jail, required 40 hours community service and fined $480 for two counts of driving under suspension and one count each of faulty exhaust and violating a temporary protection order. On June 1, House entered the home of Jessica Jones and called her phone while she was filing a report with deputies.

An Aug. 25 pretrial was set for Michael J. Schneider, 24, Elm Avenue, Columbiana, cited with possession of drug abuse instrument and obstructing official business for allegedly giving Salem police a false name and date of birth, as well as having syringes in his front pocket on June 16.

A Sept. 3 pretrial was set for Sarah J. Gatchel, 26, Rose Drive, Lisbon, charged with falsification for allegedly giving police a false statement while they were investigating an incident on Saturday.

An Aug. 27 pretrial was set for Clay E. Bolton, 30, Youngstown, cited with OVI first offense, lighted lights required and open container.

A Sept. 3 pretrial was set for Chris A. Kohrman, 47, Beaver, Pa., charged with assault for allegedly causing a laceration on Richard Kevin Beagle’s nose at the KOA on Saturday.

Sean M. Hicks, 25, East Third Street, Salem, was credited with five days served, sentenced to an additional five days in jail, fined $150 and required 30 hours community service for domestic violence for grabbing his girlfriend Chasity Buckius by the neck and choking her on June 30.

An Aug. 27 pretrial was set for both Jessie M. McArtor, 44, Bethel Drive, Salem, and Holly C. Bloom, 44, Bethel Drive, Salem, charge with assault for allegedly striking each other. Bloom allegedly approached McArtor to tell her she was trespassing after McArtor had entered Bloom’s mother’s barn reportedly looking for her cat on Monday. Court documents indicated Bloom was carrying a baton for protection when she approached McArtor, which McArtor claims Bloom used to hit her in the head. Both women had injuries.

Britt E. Lane, 50, Ninth Street, East Liverpool, was fined $250 and required 30 hours community service for theft for taking an open sign from Shenanigans Pub, Lisbon, without consent on June 14. A restitution hearing was set for Aug. 4.

Faith Ann Schorr-Irwin, 29, state Route 164, Lisbon, pleaded no contest to theft and a sentencing hearing was set for Sept. 1. On April 19, she allegedly stole three cans of pop and a can of Frappuccino from Smith Oil in Lisbon.

An Aug. 25 pretrial was set for Noah C.J. McBride, 23, South Elm Street, Columbiana, cited with criminal mischief for allegedly breaking into a trunk of a vehicle on North Main Street in Columbiana on Sunday.

An Aug. 18 pretrial was set for Brandon A. Hoschar, 24, West Perry Street, Salem, charged with theft for allegedly shoplifting a flashlight from the Salem Walmart on May 26.

A Sept. 3 pretrial was set for Lori G. Smith, 50, Lewis Road, Salineville, cited with possession of drug abuse instrument and drug paraphernalia for allegedly having two syringes with heroin residue and a spoon with residue when deputies were called to a possible overdose on Thursday.

A July 16 pretrial was set for Anthony C. Garver, 24, Pine Hollow Road, Rogers, charged with domestic violence, telecommunications harassment and two counts aggravated menacing. On Thursday, Garver allegedly threatened both Chelsea Henderhan and a 17-year-old boy, as well as pushing Henderhan against a wall and punching her in the head. Then after he was told to have no further contact with her, Garver allegedly called and texted her.

A Sept. 1 pretrial was set for Wiley Bates, 36, East Lincoln Avenue, Lisbon, cited with driving under suspension.

Lena E. Tingle, 74, Chestnut Street, Leetonia, charged with domestic violence for allegedly pushing William Wodarek multiple times on May 3 during a dispute.

Michelle M. Baker, 37, Metz Road, New Waterford, charged with domestic violence for allegedly threatening to kill her sister, Anna E. Baker, on Sunday.

An Aug. 17 pretrial was set for Anthony M. Williams, 25, Cortland, cited with maximum axle load.

An Aug. 24 pretrial was set for Kimberly M. Jackson, 35, Depot Street, Rogers, cited with falsification and a turn signals violation.

Stephanie W. Whittaker, 26, Belmont Avenue, East Liverpool, had her driving under suspension citation transferred to East Liverpool Municipal Court
